Social Security Pensions – Required Documents

When applying for various Social Security Pensions through Kadanad Grama Panchayat, the application must be submitted along with the documents required for the respective pension category. The following documents are required for verification of the application and determination of eligibility.

1. Agricultural Workers' Pension

Required documents:

  • Aadhaar Card / Identity Proof
  • Proof of Age
  • Income Certificate
  • Proof of Permanent Residence in Kerala
  • Document / Certificate proving employment as an agricultural worker
  • Proof of membership in the Kerala Agricultural Workers' Welfare Fund
  • Bank Account Details / Copy of Passbook
  • Copy of Ration Card
  • Passport-size Photograph

The applicant for the Agricultural Workers' Pension must have completed 60 years of age and must have worked as an agricultural worker for the prescribed period, as specified in the official eligibility criteria.

2. Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension

Required documents:

  • Aadhaar Card / Identity Proof
  • Proof of Age
  • Income Certificate
  • Copy of Ration Card
  • Bank Account Details / Copy of Passbook
  • Proof of Residence
  • Passport-size Photograph
  • Other required declarations / affidavit

3. Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension

  • Disability Certificate
  • Medical document specifying the percentage of disability
  • Income Certificate
  • Copy of Ration Card
  • Bank Account Details / Copy of Passbook

For the Disability Pension, official medical documents relating to the applicant's disability are essential. The official eligibility criteria also contain specific provisions based on the percentage of disability.

4. Pension for Unmarried Women Above 50 Years of Age

This pension is intended for unmarried women who have completed 50 years of age. The applicant's unmarried status and compliance with other eligibility criteria will be verified.

5. Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension

  • Death Certificate of the Husband
  • Income Certificate
  • Copy of Ration Card
  • Bank Account Details / Copy of Passbook
  • Proof of Residence
  • Certificate / Declaration confirming that the applicant has not remarried

For the Widow Pension, the applicant must be a widow. It will also be verified that the applicant has not remarried and satisfies the other prescribed eligibility criteria.
