Annual Plan Report 2026–27

Introduction

Kadanad Grama Panchayat has formulated its Annual Plan for 2026–27 with special emphasis on agriculture, animal husbandry, healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, housing, social welfare, sanitation, and infrastructure development. The various projects have been designed with the objective of ensuring the overall development of the Panchayat and improving the quality of life of its residents.

Plan Outlay

For the financial year 2026–27, development projects worth a total of ₹5,68,47,547 have been proposed under various funding sources. The plan includes special schemes for the General Category, Scheduled Castes (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST).


1. Agriculture Sector

Several initiatives have been planned to increase agricultural production and improve farmers’ income.

  • Milk subsidy for dairy farmers
  • Cattle feed assistance scheme
  • Distribution of vegetable seeds
  • Backyard poultry farming scheme
  • Distribution of mineral supplements and deworming medicines
  • Paddy cultivation development
  • Promotion of tuber crop cultivation
  • Banana cultivation development
  • Distribution of organic fertilizers
  • Distribution of fruit tree saplings
  • Beekeeping development programme

Approximately ₹76 lakh has been allocated for this sector.

 

2. Health Sector

Various projects have been included to improve healthcare services and protect public health.

  • Palliative Care Programme
  • Purchase of medicines for Primary Health Centres (PHCs)
  • Procurement of medicines for Ayurveda hospitals
  • Procurement of medicines for Homeopathy hospitals
  • Disease prevention and awareness activities
  • E-Health Programme
  • Financial assistance for patients with blood-related diseases

Substantial funds have been earmarked for the health sector.

 

3. Education Sector

Several initiatives have been planned to improve the quality of education and strengthen school infrastructure.

  • Improvement of school infrastructure
  • Renovation of school buildings

 

4. Women Empowerment

Various schemes have been included to promote the economic and social advancement of women.

5. Social Security and Welfare

  • Assistance for extremely poor families

6. Housing Development

Housing projects have been planned to ensure safe and secure housing for all eligible families.

  • LIFE Housing Scheme (Scheduled Castes)
  • LIFE Housing Scheme (Scheduled Tribes)
  • House Renovation Scheme

Housing development has received one of the largest allocations in the Annual Plan.


7. Infrastructure Development

Several projects have been proposed to improve roads, street lighting, and public facilities across the Panchayat.

  • Development of public spaces
  • Renovation of Anganwadi centres

Infrastructure development accounts for a significant share of the total plan expenditure.

 

8. Scheduled Caste Development Programmes

Special schemes have been designed to promote the socio-economic development of Scheduled Caste communities.

Total Allocation: ₹31.59 lakh.

 

9. Scheduled Tribe Development Programmes

  • Financial assistance for household water connections

Total Allocation: ₹14.03 lakh.

Through the Annual Plan 2026–27, Kadanad Grama Panchayat has accorded comprehensive priority to agricultural development, healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, social welfare, housing, and infrastructure development.
